Sanity

Zekirans live in an ever changing world. Sometimes, that world frightens them. To the core. The Sanity score is a fragile thing, considering what can happen in the course of a Zekiran's life. Anything from seeing the body of their murdered husband to ... Killing their wife... or seeing someone using a psionic power or mutation in a senses shattering manner (like squeezing through a small duct, or shapeshifting), can cause Sanity to change. Of all the Stats, this one must be monitored carefully and constantly. It can be changed -- even permanently -- in a matter of moments if one is not careful!

Average Zekirans have a sanity around 30. This is how they are. They look at life as an endless adventure, and some people get away with a bit too much strangeness according to the masses.

With a higher score, around 60, a character will be well-suited to handle situations that Player Characters find themselves in.

In the remarkably unlikely event that a character has a Sanity over about 80, or approaching 100, they are seen as extremely queer people. How can they stand all that gore? All those odd powers? They're unshakeable all right, but they have their own unique sanity-losing way of being around people!
