Bohata Unincorporated Population: slightly more than 700,000 people wander Bohata's coasts and grasslands. Many of them live in the light forested area around Ertan, the hunting being very solid here and the temperatures more moderate than farther north or south. Of course there are a thousand miles of pure beach out there too Kua: With great variety of available pasttimes, Kuans love
every facet of life, from food and drink to education and racing, they
have an appreciation of business that cannot be rivaled. This is the largest
city on Zerin, and is hardly rivaled for its size. Built against the beach
and waves of the Neres Ocean, and backed up beside the marshlands and
tall reed forests and jungles of Bohata, Kua is both busy and beautiful.
Its urban zone is huge, with little in the way of suburbs, then the rural
zone abruptly takes over just outside the giant city. Tenet: Farms and racing, and lots of Steeding go on here.
The city is smallish and relatively sedate, with a very large suburban
and rural zone. As a city, it's dark and kind of moody, so many people
avoid the inner city in favor of living and working in the Burbs. Ertan: Beside the woods, halfway between forest and grasslands.
Any profession involving forrestry and farming, building, assembling and
crafting furniture, hunting and Long distance course racing can be found
here. The critters from the woods don't always appreciate being hunted,
and sometimes they fight back. Rar: is a... boring place. It's not big, it's not small,
it just is. The view of the ocean is great, it's on many post cards, but
that's pretty much its claim to fame. Zu: Dangerous high tides batter the coast here, next to
the huge redwood forests. It is beautiful, rugged, untamed. Except the
little scientific city built up mostly beside the water, the woods are
too heavy to tear into just yet. Many water based mutants are found training
here, and the Steeds that might learn some things from them are coming
too. Ama: Soft and beautiful lands, every shade of green is seen
here. From the deep heathery hills and the light evergreen woods to the
north, grasses and reeds. The entire place is relaxing and a joy to find
at the end of a long day's work. Warm winds usually blow through here,
this is the place that the mad composer Dulath assembled his Wind Chimes. Skein: Normally a quiet farming community with a large proportion
of retirees, but at times it seems the politics here in Skein deterimine
those of the whole world. It is drier than the surrounding hundred or
so miles. Paet: The place remains small, but not so small that it
has no important people in it. A long line of vets are trained here, the
areas of mire which can be reached by air boat have hundreds of herbs
which are used on native animals Bineh: A good stop on most Steed tours, there are actually
paved roads here to get to the Steed riding areas which are all trails.
This area is more citrus grove and light wood than plains. Neu: Darkly set among willows and heavy marshes, Neu is
barely visible from the sky passing overhead, and must be reached by an
exterior hoverport. Met: Towering cliffs and huge trees dominate the tiny town
below, but some brave souls are able to put foot holds into the woods,
impressing everyone. Fiea: A deep foresting site, where some of the best wood
for carving and carpentry comes from. The whole town is organized around
the selecting, cutting, transporting and replanting of these trees. Metis: brought into existence by the virtue of having three
High Holders who want to be President of something, they have elections
and they argue, and the people who've chosen to live there put up with
them because they're usually deep in the woods anyway. Dem: Dem is founded and devoted to spreading energy and
information, it has wind farms and Steed farms, news stations and the
largest paper mill and printing house in the world Wen: Though still very small, the township of Wen in Bohata's
watery wetlands is attracting Breeders and architects alike. Heaven Tower: an exclusive area designed by the Paveh line,
built by them out of the black stone material which blocks psionic energies.
This tower is about 500 spans wide at its underground base, under 200
, and rises well over 600 spans tall. It has a tiered spiral ramp on the
outside, decorated with pale reddish stones and stained glass. The inside
well, you have to be in the Paveh deal to know what's in there
